Kin River Healing
Trauma therapy for individuals and families, teaching, and clinical supervision.
Self-determine your freedom, heal, and receive care.
Trauma Therapy:
I help people who are living with the impacts of trauma - experiences that have overwhelmed their ability to cope, left them feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them or the people they love. When my clients start therapy with me they often feel uncertain about what they want out of life. When they end therapy with me they feel more clear about their needs, desires and how to get both met.
Support for families impacted by substance abuse:
When my family member clients start counseling with me they are suffering in the unknowns of their loved one’s use. They are in pain about their loved one’s substance use and unsure how to help. They have often internalized negative labels about their love, like enabler or codependent. Family member clients learn to use the strengths inherent in their love to help their loved one get treatment and or improve the quality of their lives and relationships.
Recovery:
Whether you are struggling with the impacts of trauma or love someone who is, together, we can co-create a future that centers your assets and strengths as a person to build a future that honors your desires and values.
To connect more intimately to who you are and what you want out of your life is a radical step. Choosing to invest in yourself, your family, and your community needs and recover an authentic and valued approach to life requires hard work and commitment. I am grateful and honored to be considered a participant in this work.

To Recover: To find or obtain something lost or stolen.
Recovery:
The story of how we experience our lives and relationships is generational. Our patterns of behavior are connected to the generations that came before us and those who will come after. Sometimes these stories are painful and interrupt our ability to feel fully connected to ourselves and others.
The work of therapy is to recover the unique strengths inherent in you and your relationships. How I have experienced therapy and being a therapist: therapy is a process of recovery; of getting found.
